Content: This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) translation of a Japanese publication captured at Lae on 19 September 1943 shortly after the fall of Lae and the beginning of the Japanese retreat across the Finisterre Ranges. This item is a bulletin entitled "Weekly bulletin" no. 350, 30 June 1943, and contains articles published by the Information Bureau entitled "Complete picture of industry organised to increase our fighting power", "Passenger transport adapted to decisive war" and "The imperial combined fleet".

The first article deals with industrial organisation in Japan, increasing industrial production, raising citizen morale, classification of industry, employment conditions, legislation and financial management. The second article concerns strengthening transport restrictions in Japan to allow for the movement of personnel vital to the war effort. The third item concerns the activities of the Imperial Combined Fleet under Admiral KOGA Mineichi, who replaced Admiral YAMAMOTO. YAMAMOTO was killed while on a flight to the northern Solomons on 18 April 1943. The article is a brief account of the war effort in 1943 and the need for the Japanese people to support their forces on the front lines. It also mentions Prime Minister Curtin, the Allied war effort, moral and strategy.
