Content: This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) interrogation report for Superior Private JA145566 of the 115th Infantry Regiment 3rd Battalion 12th Company 1st Platoon, who was captured between Salamaua and Kela on 12 September 1943. JA145566, a 32 year old Superior Private from Gunma, was too weak to resist when he was captured by Australian troops. During the interrogation, JA145566 provided general information on unit organisation and movements. He was a rifleman, but never in the front line, so his knowledge was limited.
