Content: This is a Japanese-language propaganda leaflet produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office during the Second World War. An English translation of the text is attached. The message includes the statement made by Rear Admiral Zacharias, an American admiral who was formerly stationed in Tokyo. He points out in the statement that the Japanese militarists are deliberately misinterpreting the current war situation as "victory or extermination". He guarantees that the term "unconditional surrender" does not mean the extermination of the Japanese race and urges the people of Japan to choose between a useless death or a peace with honour.
