Content: | This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) interrogation report for Sergeant JA145632 of the 51st Field Engineer Regiment 3rd Company, who was captured at Banduang near Camp Diddy on 23 October 1943. JA145632, a 26 year old Sergeant from Ibaraki, could not keep up with the troops and was wandering in the jungle by himself when he was captured by Australian troops. During the interrogation, JA145632 provided information on his unit organisation, movements, weapons, the evacuation of Lae, and social conditions in Japan. |
