Content: This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) interrogation report for Superior Private JA145649 of the 238th Infantry Regiment 2nd Battalion Machine-gun Company 2nd Platoon 6th Section, who was captured at Lae on 27 or 28 October 1943. JA145649, a 23 year old Superior Private from Osaka, was suffering from malaria when he was captured by US troops. He was a machine gunner. During the interrogation, JA145649 provided information on his unit organisation, his movements, morale, and military facilities in New Guinea. A sketch map of Wewak is attached.
