Content: This item is a Japanese-language propaganda leaflet produced by the Far Eastern Liaison office. An English translation of the text is attached. The message was supposedly written by a Japanese serviceman named KITAHAMA. He says that he was found wounded and unconscious near Kokoda and saved by the Australians. He stresses that he and fellow POWs are treated well and urges his comrades to cease fighting.
