Content: This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) interrogation report for Superior Private MUROZONO Tôru of the Provisional Army Service Corps 1st Company 3rd Platoon 14th Section, who was captured in Giruwa on 21 January 1943. MUROZONO, a 24 year old Superior Private from Fukuoka, landed in Buna on 3 September and was captured by US troops on 21 January 1943 while he was hiding in a trench in Giruwa. During the interrogation, MUROZONO did not give his unit name other than Provisional Army Service Corps. He provided information on his unit organization, evacuation procedure for wounded and sick from Giruwa, and the desperate situation in Giruwa without food.
