Content: | This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) interrogation report for JA147349, a Leading Private with the 238th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Battalion Headquarters, who was suffering from malaria when he was captured by US troops near Aitape on 22 April 1944. During the interrogation, JA147349 provided information on the construction of aircraft at Wewak in March 1944, Allied prisoners of war at Wewak between August and December 1943 and Allied air raids on Wewak between 11 and 31 March 1944. |
