| Content: | This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) interrogation report for JA147226 of the 141st Infantry Regiment 10th Company, who was captured near Kometto on 29 March 1944. JA147226, 1st Class Private, was ill and weak from malaria, dysentery and hunger when he was captured by US Marines. During the interrogation, JA147226 provided information on conditions in Japan, including railroads, and Allied air attacks in New Britain. |
