| Content: | This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) translation of a Japanese publication captured at Simbang on 4 October 1943 during the Huon Peninsula campaigns and the Japanese retreat across the Finisterre Range. This item contains intelligence reports, battle reports, maps and sketches on operations at Mubo, Bobdubi Heights in May 1943. It also includes information on reconnaissance, airfield construction and road construction in Wau, Markham River, Ramu River, Bogadjim, Bena Bena and Madang between April and August 1943. It contains information on Australian military techniques, Japanese troop dispositions, intelligence and security, and observations about the native people. |
