Content: | This item consists of a war diary for the 141st Infantry Regt 1st Bn for the period between 1 and 31 January 1943. This Battalion was dispatched to western New Britain in mid-1943. War diaries contain a detailed daily record of a unit's activities. They were intended to be submitted monthly through the command structure to Imperial HQ, though in practice many were destroyed in the field or kept with the unit. |
