Content: This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) translation of a Japanese publication captured at Peschel Point (near Sio) on 29 January 1944 during the Huon Peninsula campaigns and the Japanese retreat across the Finisterre Ranges. This item is a pamphlet on the treatment of malaria, issued on 20 September 1943 by Commanding Officer of 18th Army Medical Section, HIROSE, Yoshio. It contains information on the general care of malaria patients, nutrition, prevention, treatment of anemia, acidosis, heart weakness and use of sedatives.
