Content: This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) interrogation report for JA147465, a civilian attached to the 49th Anchorage Unit, who was captured near Korako on 24 April 1944. JA147465 was captured when he swam ashore after the canoe in which he was attempting to escape was sunk. During the interrogation, JA147465 provided information on how he came to volunteer for service, oil supply and restrictions, and money earned through fishing. The appendix contains organisational charts of the 49th Anchorage Unit, the 122nd Infantry Regiment, the 46th Anchorage Unit and Shipping Headquarters.
