Content: This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) interrogation report for JA147110 of the 141st Infantry Regiment 1st Battalion 3rd Company 1st Platoon, who was captured near Talasea on 13 March 1944. JA147110, a 26 year old Leading Private from Kagawa Prefecture, was left behind by his unit as he was suffering from colitis. He was asleep when he was captured by US Marines. He was a fish wholesale dealer before conscription. During the interrogation, JA147110 provided information on unit organisation, movement, and fishing conditions in Japan. He expressed his wish to resume his life after his release.
