| Content: | This item is a military postal savings book issued to JINMU Hide. The front cover contains columns for account number, the agency responsible for the original register, remarks, address and name. The back cover shows a list of instructions. The savings book was issued by the Shimonoseki branch of the Postal Savings Department. The unit name written in the address space indicates JINMU belonged to one of the 18th Army shipping units (Akatsuki 1603 Unit). The rest of the savings book consists of columns for transaction records. The transactions occurred between on 2 July 1942 and 12 February 1944. This item was captured at Korako on 24 April 1944. |
