| Content: | This item is a photocopy of a paybook issued in October 1943 to record salary payments to a 1st Class Private MORIKAWA Toshirô, from the 102nd Field Airfield Construction Unit (Unit 15327). At the front of the paybook is a list of instructions for its care and use, as well as a list of ranks and special allowances calculating the rate of pay due to Pte. MORIKAWA. The rest of the book consists of pages divided into columns for recording monthly payments, with spaces for the signature of the payee and paymaster, but none of these sections have been filled in. This item was captured at Nambel in August 1944. |
