Content: | This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) interrogation report for Superior Private JA145686 of the 33rd Independent Engineer Regiment 1st Company , who was captured near Sio on 20 January 1944. JA145686, a 25 year old Superior Private from Aichi, was ill with malaria and lagging behind his unit when he was captured by Australian troops. During the interrogation, JA145686 provided information on unit organisation, movements, Allied attacks in the Sio area and location of a large food dump in Hansa Bay. |
