| Content: | This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) research report issued on 10 February 1945 on Japanese anti-gas clothing. It contains information on various anti-gas garments (suits, capes, leggings, four-man wraps) used by the Japanese Army, Navy and Army Air Service. Illustrations include sketches of the protective cape, method of carrying capes, the construction of the protective capes, methods of holding contaminated capes, and a chart of chemical warfare equipment of a regiment. The report concludes that there was little evidence thatthe Japanese possessed anything similar to Allied oiled anti-gas protective clothing, except for anti-gas capes. |
