Content: This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) translation of a Japanese publication captured at "Old Gun position" (Old Vickers) near Bobdubi on 16 September 1943 during the Japanese retreat from campaigns in the Owen Stanley Ranges. This item is a pamphlet entitled "Yodo No. 6017 Force (30th Independent Engineer Regiment attached to the 4th Division) bivouac area interior duty and discipline regulations", issued in February 1943 by the Commander of the Central Bivouac Area No. 29 Force. It contains information of the regulations, billeting arrangements, training, dress, guard duty, supply, communications and safety for men stationed in Japan, in the Takatsuki and Tomita districts.
