Content: | This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) translation of a Japanese publication captured at Nubia airfield (near Hansa Bay) on 22 June 1944 during the Japanese retreat across northern New Guinea from the Huon Peninsula campaigns. This item is a pamphlet entitled "Simultaneous ignition of smoke candles", issued by Chemical Warfare Training Unit, China Expeditionary Force in February 1941. It contains instruction on simultaneously igniting slow and quick burning fuses and using Type 94 Small Smoke Candles and Type 89 Tear Gas Candles. |
