| Content: | This item is a postal savings book issued to SEKIYA Genryû from the 115th Infantry Regiment of the 51st Division. The front cover contains columns for account number, the agency responsible for the original register, remarks, address and name. The first and last pages show a list of instructions. The savings book was issued by the Postal Savings Department. The unit names written in the address space indicates SEKIYA was transferred from the 15th Infantry Regimentof the 14th Division to the Fujiwara Unit of the 115th Infantry Regiment, 51st Division. The rest of the savings book consists of columns for transaction records. The transactions occurred between 2 May 1940 and 24 February 1943. This item was captured at Lae on 1 July 1944. |
