Content: | This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) interrogation report for Superior Private JA145622 of the 78th Infantry Regiment 2nd Battalion 7th Company 2nd Platoon 1st Section, who was captured near Dumpu on 13 October 1943. JA145622, a 30 year old Superior Private from Tokyo, was captured by Australian troops while he was wounded and lost after an attempt to attack the Australian position. He was a rifleman in his unit. During the interrogation, JA145622 provided information on his unit organisation, movements, and morale. He was one of a very few who said he wanted to contact his family. |
