Content: | This item consists of an official war diary for the 66th Field Anti-aircraft Artillery Battalion for the period September 1943 to April 1944. Though classified a war diary, this item is in fact the personal diary of MURASAKA Susumu. War diaries contain a detailed daily record of a unit's activities. They were intended to be submitted monthly through the command structure to Imperial HQ, though in practice many were destroyed in the field or kept with the unit. |
