Content: | This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) translation of a Japanese publication captured in the Buna area on 3 February 1943 during the Japanese retreat from campaigns in the Buna area. This item is a daily field log and official diary of the Sakigawa Unit between 1 July 1942 and 7 August 1942. It records the unit's daily orders and movements while stationed at Rabaul, their preparations for the landing at New Guinea, and their advance to forward positions at Giruwa.
