Content: | This item is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) translation of a Japanese publication captured at Finschhafen on 2 October 1943 during the Huon Peninsula campaigns. This item is a handbook entitled "Signal Troops' Manual - Book 2 - Division Signal Unit", issued by the Department of Military Education in March 1942. It contains information on the functions and duties of signal units in combat, training, air–ground communications, preparations for river crossing and guarding against wire tapping. |
