| Content: | This item is a collection of rolls and service records from 1941 for soldiers belonging to the 41st Division 238th Infantry Regiment. Each sheet records the details of a soldier's military service career, from his induction to his current situation, including any promotions, transfers, details of training and principal duties, and comments on the soldier's performance. Some of the sheets are signed by medical staff, indicating hospitalisation for illness or injury, and one of them mentions the transfer of the soldier in question (Pte KUMEHARA) to the 41st Division as a trainee. This item belongs to a folder of other materials containing similar information about other soldiers from the 238th Regiment. It was captured at Finschhafen in April 1944. |
