Content: | This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) research report on the 8th Independent Engineer Regiment (Chiba Force). The enquiry was received on 16 November 1943 and an answer despatched on 16 November 1943. This report gives only basic information about the movements and composition of Chiba Force, which landed in Hansa Bay, Madang, on 12 March 1943 under the command of Lieutenant-Colonel CHIBA Tajurô. |
