Content: This item is a small notebook with entries concerning strategies in the Admiralty Islands, Madan, Turubu and Cape Marcus. operations in Torokina. Operations in Torokina are analysed in detail. The owner of the notebook reflects on previous land battles with much regret and wonders whether decisive actions against the enemy were still possible. The notebook also includes two Japanese poems depicting air raids by the enemy. A business card of Rear-Admiral ÔTA Minoru is attached, which has a brief message to Vice Admiral KUSAKA Jin'ichi. The notebook may have belonged to KUSAKA.
