| Content: | This item includes a postal savings book issued to TAKAGI Takayuki from the 15th Infantry Regiment; a certificate on his sickness issued by Captain HARADA Hosaburô and Lieutenant ÔNO Tsuneo on 12 December 1937; and a post malarial medicinal treatment schedule. The front cover of the savings book contains columns for account number, the agency responsible for the original register, remarks, address and name. The back cover shows a list of instructions. The savings book was issued by the Hiroshima branch of the Postal Savings Department. The rest of the savings book consists of columns for transaction records. The transactions occurred between 8 September 1938 and April 1940. The certificate indicates TAKAGI was a conscript reserve 1st class private and belonged to the 5th Company of the 15th Infantry Regiment of the 14th Division. The certificate also shows TAKAGI was a member of the Harada Unit. This item was captured at Lae on 1 July 1944. |
