Content: This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) interrogation report for Sergeant KOJIMA Masao of the 50th Anti-Aircraft Regiment 3rd Company, who was captured in the Trobriand Islands on 21 March 1943. KOJIMA, a 23 year old Sergeant from Aichi, was severely wounded by shrapnel and loaded on to a lifeboat. The boat drifted to an island where the men were given some bananas by the locals. When they were heading towards Rabaul KOJIMA and his colleagues were captured by an Australian patrol boat. During the interrogation, KOJIMA provided information on unit organisations, aircraft identifications, anti-aircraft weapons, Japanese defence, supplies, the situation in Japan, and attacks by Allied Forces. A hand-drawn map of Nagoya is included.
