|Content:||This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) translation of a Japanese publication captured in the Komiatum-Mount Tambu area on 15 August 1943 during the Japanese retreat from campaigns in the Owen Stanley Ranges. This item is a file of medical reports for Moto 2802 Sugiyama Unit 2nd Battalion 66th Infantry Regiment 51st Division. It contains detailed information on the symptoms, diagnosis and treatment of diarrhoea, blackwater fever, malaria and other tropical ailments. The item also has instructions for the collection and transport of patients, the dispositions of medical establishments in New Guinea, the treatment of soldiers killed in action, the prevention of epidemics and the transport of medical supplies.|
