Content: This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) interrogation report for JA147250 of the 39th Field Anti-aircraft Battalion unit, who was captured near Kometto, New Britain, on 29 March 1944. JA147250, a 30 year old Sergeant (Section Leader) from Aichi Prefecture, surrendered to US Marines. During the interrogation, JA147250 provided information on Japanese methods of identifying Allied airplanes at Rabaul and Vunakanau, Allied air raids on Rabaul and Vunakanau in February and May 1943, Japanese tanks at Vunakanau, the Kanamori Iron Works and the Yamamoto Iron Works in Nagoya.
