| Content: | This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) translation of a Japanese publication captured at Cape Dinga near Nassau Bay on 15 July 1943 during the Japanese retreat from campaigns in the Owen Stanley Ranges. This item is issue no. 330 of "The Weekly", published on 10 February 1943 by the Japanese Department of Information. It contains articles on a variety of topics relating to the Japanese homefront, including food production, clothing shortages, travel restrictions, stevedoring, Kinen Sai ("the fesitval for a plentiful year"), education and the progress of the war. |
