Content: | This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) translation of a Japanese publication captured at Lae on 29 September 1943 shortly after the fall of Lae and the Japanese retreat across the Finisterre Range. This item contains the records of the servicing, repair and dispatch of motor vehicles of the Motor Transportation Platoon of SHIMADA Company, 22nd Airfield Battalion, between 1 November 1941 and July 1942, while it was stationed at Singapore and Palembang. It includes mileage charts, duty rosters, number and condition of vehicles, training schedules and spare parts used. This item also contains rules and regulations relating to fire prevention, counter-intelligence, espionage, security and training. This item also contains an extract from a record book, dated 22 October 1939 to 31 July 1943, for a Dodge truck belonging to 22nd Airfield Battalion, captured at Malahang airfield on 25 September 1943. |
