Content: | This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) interrogation report for JA147802, a civilian employee (helmsman) aboard Narita Maru, who was captured by US troops at Tanahmerah Bay (approximately 50 kms west of Hollandia) on 11 May 1944. JA147802 provided information on the loading of ships at Manila in December 1943, Allied prisoners of war at Manila working as stevedores loading Narita Maru, Allied air attacks on Narita Maru on 27 February 1944 and submarine attacks during January 1944. |
