|Content:||This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) translation of a Japanese publication captured at Wakde Island on 19 May 1944 during the Allied attacks on Japanese positions in northern Dutch New Guinea, which were intended to isolate the 18th Army at Wewak. This item is a photograph album with captions which belonged to a member of 3rd Battery, 36th Mountain Artillery, dated 27 December 1939 to 28 November 1942. It contains 40 photographs of officers, men, guns and horses in Japan and China.|
