|Content:||This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) translation of a Japanese publication captured at Alangalang in Leyte, the Philippines, on 1 November 1944 during the US campaign to recapture the Philippines. This item is entitled "Summary of Kaki Force campaign", issued on 5 January 1942 by Kaki Force 16th Division Headquarters and kept by Kaki 6560 Force 16th Division Signal Unit. It contains an account of Kaki Forces's debarkation, securing the beachhead, dispositions, movements and engagements during the fall of Manila between 24 December 1941 and 3 January 1942. Two appended charts show the number of casualties suffered by various units and the name, rank and unit of officer casualties.|
