Content: This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) translation of a Japanese publication captured at Aitape on 22 April 1944 when US forces landed at Aitape in an effort to isolate the 18th Army at Wewak. This item contains a field diary and operational orders for 248th Flying Regiment Headquarters at Wewak between 1 and 30 November 1943. It includes plans and orders for various attacks on Allied airfields during November 1943. The document also briefly mentions the results of their attacks and the counter-attacks made by Allied aircraft.
