Content: | This item is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) translation of a Japanese publication captured at Cape Dinga near Nassau Bay on 15 July 1943 during the Japanese retreat from campaigns in the Owen Stanley Ranges. This item is an extract from "Regulations for reporting distinguished services of the dead", issued in October 1941. It contains rules and regulations for establishing evidence for posthumous promotion or decorations, including charts showing protocol to be followed. The ATIS translator also noted the regulations regarding cases of suicide were of particular interest. |
