Content: This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) interrogation report for Superior Private JA145681 of the 79th Infantry Regiment Labour Company, who was captured in Kelanoa on 14 January 1944. JA145681, a 24 year old Superior Private from Sasebo in Saga, was ill from malaria and beri beri when he was attacked and captured by Australian troops. During the interrogation, JA145681 provided information on unit organisation, movements, an Allied prisoner-of-war camp in Seoul, and Allied aerial attacks on New Guinea.
