Content: This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) interrogation report for 1st Class Private TERADA Kazuyoshi of the 41st (Yazawa) Infantry Regiment MIYAMOTO Battalion 2nd Coy Company (Kodera) Platoon (Seibu 60) who was captured in Gona on 7 December 1942. TERADA, a 25 year old from Hiroshima, was a member of a road construction unit and advanced as far as Kokoda. After retreating to Gona, he rejoined the 41st Regiment and left for Oivi. His company was retreating to Giruwa when he was captured by Australian soldiers. TERADA provided information on unit movement and organisation, and equipment. He also talked about general conditions in Japan, military brothels, attitudes towards war and towards other countries such as China.
