Content: | This item is a Japanese-language propaganda leaflet produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office. An English translation of the text is attached. The period it covers is between 5 and 12 November 1944. The leaflet reports on the operation on Leyte Island, the bombings of Singapore and Nanjing, and the war situation in Europe. It also discusses the speech made by Stalin, the re-election of President Roosevelt and the death of Wang Ching-wei. The leaflet includes a picture depicting the bombing of the Nicholas airfield in Manila. 50,000 of them were printed. 27,000 of these leaflets were dispatched to Hollandia on 23 November 1944 and 29,000 to Darwin on 23 November 1944. |
