Content: This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) translation of a Japanese publication captured at Cape Gloucester on 21 February 1944 during the Allied campaign to retake New Britain. This item is an account of the operations of the 1st Battalion, 141st Infantry Regiment between 9 April and 13 June 1942 in Central Luzon, the Philippines. It includes orders and a basic account of the regiment's operational engagements, with sketches and maps. This item also includes a brief extract from a history of the 141st Infantry Regiment which bears no relation to the rest of the document.
