| Content: | This item is an official diary for the month of December 1943, recording the activities of an infantry guard unit stationed at Hansa Bay under the command of a Lieutenant Ikui. It contains several maps of the Hansa Bay coastline and a name list of unit members and senior officers. It also contains daily orders and reports concerning unit activities such as road building, surveillance activities, and the hospitalisation of sick and injured soldiers. The diary also notes the cessation of road-building activities due to repeated bad weather. It was captured at Hansa Bay in July 1944. |
