Content: | This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) interrogation report for JA147254 of the 1st Shipping Engineer Regiment 1st Company, who was captured in Kometto on 29 March 1944. JA147254, a 23 year old 1st Class Private from Tochigi Prefecture, was suffering from malaria and had fallen behind his unit when he was captured by US Marines. During the interrogation, JA147254 provided information on ships which were constructed in the Harima Shipyards where he had worked. He also provided information on the shipyards which was located in Hyôgo Prefecture. |
