JA147352, a 23 year old 1st class private from Gifu Prefecture, took refuge along with six others in an air raid shelter during an Allied bombardment on the morning of 22 April. US troops later surrounded the shelter and the prisoner and his party surrendered. During the interrogation, JA147352 provided information on the organisation and history of the 2nd and 5th Air Signals Regiments, messing arrangements at Wewak, supplies, damage to the Cruiser Aoba, and the 3rd Line of Communication Hospital at Wewak in October 1943, |
