Content: | This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) interrogation report for Lance Corporal TAMURA Hiroshi of the 44th Infantry Regiment Headquarters Signals Unit, who was captured in Giruwa on 24 January 1943. TAMURA, a 25 year old Lance Corporal from Kochi, was ill with malaria when he was captured by US troops. TAMURA was security conscious and did not answer questions which were of military importance. During the interrogation, TAMURA provided information on wireless equipment his unit used, and communication systems. |
