Content: This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) interrogation report for Leading Seaman YOKOYAMA Yasuo of the Matsukawa Unit, Sasebo Special Naval Landing Party, who was captured in Buna on 14 March 1943. YOKOYAMA, a 22 year old Leading Seaman from Miyazaki, was captured by US troops after he landed in the Buna area and hid in the jungle. During the interrogation, YOKOYAMA provided information on the unit organisation, movements of navy boats, minesweeping, sunken Japanese naval boats and some Japanese terminologies. He also drew a sketch map of Yokosuka.
