| Content: | This item is a Japanese-language propaganda news bulletin produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office during the Second World War. An English translation of the text is attached. The text is dated on 24 June 1944. Included in the events covered by this issue are the death of NAKAZATO Kaizan, the bombing of Kyûshû, the air raids on the Bonin Islands and the Marianas, the landing of American troops on Saipan and the bombing of the mainland Japan by B-29 bombers. It also discusses the war situation in Burma and in Europe, and the Japanese naval losses to the end of 1944. 50,000 of them were printed. 27,000 of these leaflets were dispatched to Nadzab on 8 and 12 July 1944 and 20,000 of them were dispatched to Darwin on 8 July 1944. |
