Content: | This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) interrogation report for Corporal JA147120 of the Independent Field Anti-aircraft Artillery Battalion (Go 3778) 2nd Company, who was captured in Kometto near Talasea on 13 March 1944. JA147120, a 37 year old Corporal from Tokyo, was suffering from malaria and sleeping in a local hut when he was captured by US marines. During the interrogation, JA147120 provided information on unit organisation, movement, medical treatment, and some industries in Japan. He was not ashamed of being captured, but he still did not want his family to know about his situation. Two diagrams of Tokyo Specialised Works are attached. |
